Presenter Biographies

This page will include biographies of our conference presenters once they have been selected. Biographies will be added as workshops are chosen.

  • Kelly Biggar -Kelly believes in entrepreneurial experiences for youth as a way to develop life skills, gain real-world experience, and connect with other students. As Program Manager for Afterschool at the Young Entrepreneur Institute, she works to share entrepreneurial programming with afterschool and out-of-school organizations nationwide. Through their signature Young Entrepreneur Pitch Challenge program, Kelly teaches, coaches, and consults with educators to bring the entrepreneurial mindset to K-12 students. Prior to joining Young Entrepreneur Institute, Kelly worked as an administrator in University School’s Athletic Department. She has extensive experience working in the Cleveland real estate market, in both property management and sales. Kelly started her career in customer service management with Progressive Insurance. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer Economics from the University of Vermont.

  • Sheila James - Sheila James is the former National STEM Director for a major nonprofit and has provided coaching, mentoring, and training nationally and statewide for over 20 years. She was a national subject matter expert and team lead for internal and external efforts on STEM inclusion and equity, related intersectionality, and engagement of other underserved communities.

  • Liz Nusken - Liz Nusken has worked to connect people, programs, and resources in corporate, public, and non-profit sectors. Most recently she coached and supported out-of-school time programs across the Midwest and Northeast for the YMCA of the USA. Liz currently consults for the Ohio Afterschool Network on the OAN Pitch Challenge and does grant writing and evaluation for 21st CCLC programs in Ohio.
