Contact Your U.S. and State Legislators

Parents want the best for their children. They want their kids to be safe after school while they are at work; they want their kids to have access to resources such as nutritious food, plenty of physical activity, and engaging things to do; they want their children to be academically successful and go on to college or a career. Parents also know that Afterschool and Summer Learning programs can provide all of these things for their children and much, much more.

Contacting your U.S. and State Legislators is a great way to help secure Afterschool programs in our state and nation. Consider writing them a letter, sending an email, calling their office, or corresponding with them on social media. Social media is a great outlet that allows you to reply to posts or tweets and engage with them on a more personal level.
